Brook Street Community Centre Services

We have a number of services available at Brook Street Community Centre, all designed to offer advice and support for the local community. You can view some of the services available below.

Tipton Foodbank

You can now bring in any items of non-perishable food, tinned products, long-life milk, cereals etc to Brook Street Community Centre. These items will be taken away weekly to the ‘The Well’ Tipton Foodbank in Union Street for distribution to families in need of support.

Socks & Chocs

You can now donate items of warm clothing such as socks, gloves, scarves, jumpers and coats as well as sleeping bags here at Brook Street Community Centre. These items will then be transported to various centres for the homeless located throughout the Black Country.

Sherpa Advocacy, Advice & Information

Our new Sherpa service can help anyone who needs assistance with advice, information and advocacy. From simple signposting to befriending and guidance. By working in partnership with the local authority and statutory agencies we have access to professional services and information sources. We can help with a wide and varied range of issues, including domestic violence, homelessness and drug or alcohol abuse.

Learning & Education

Brook Street Community Centre works closely with training providers to offer courses in First Aid, Health & Safety, Security & Door Supervision, Flower Arranging and many more subjects. Many courses are either fully-funded or subsidised to enable those on a limited income to participate.

Employment Opportunities

Offering work experience placements for students from several local high schools and academies. We also accept clients on the JCP’s Mandatory Work Programme and maintain links with TBG Training and Groundworks Black Country, assisting people to gain experience in a working environment. We are pleased to have been a part in enabling several of our placements to gain employment.
