I'd like to say thank you for putting on the Community Canal Event this year. It felt like a big family (happy family) getting together. There was good entertainment, nice but healthy food, and so much to see. It was good to see all the canal boats especially those selling their wares, like the cheese boat! It all looked very professional the way it was run. And we met so many people who we have come to know over the last 10 years since moving to Tipton - everyone was so friendly and made time to chat to our family. It's nice to have friends like that! Tipton, the place to be! Well done Tipton Community Association!

On behalf of Murray Hall Community Trust can I say a big thank you to everyone who made this year's Community Canal Event a huge success. It was good to see some young volunteers and of course the familiar faces who work so hard behind the scenes. It was just fantastic to see Neptune Health Park and surrounding areas being used by people just wanting to have a good day out and enjoying the fun, food and music. Once again the event also gave organisations, both large and small, the opportunity to fundraise and promote themselves. Many Thanks.

Just a big thank you to those members who supported 'Barry's Charity Show' last Friday evening at Brook Street Community Centre. Con and Dec The Bachelors were just electric and so friendly, our support artistes Bruce Thompson the ever popular 'one man band-comedian-singer' was just as funny and entertaining as his last appearance and of course our very own Dave Bartley continues to enthral the audience with his usual poetry and wit, it was a really fantastic night everybody really
enjoyed themselves and people are still talking about it now, must be one of the best shows we have had for a while. I think we should all be proud that we can pull in stars like Con and Dec The Bachelors
to Tipton, this show now gives us a problem, what do we follow up with, who do we sign up for 2011.
Special thanks to Steve for all his help and co-ordinating the Show. Presentations to Sandwell Hospital Breast Care Clinic and Acorns Childrens Hospice will be made over the next few weeks as a result of this show.
Again sincere thanks to everyone for their support.

It's nice to have something local on your doorstep, and well done to everyone who helped in setting everything up and in taking part to make the Canal Festival a success. I enjoyed volunteering for the TCA - it is certainly a learning experience but the TCA members are all so friendly and helpful. And you also learn that things may go pear shaped - but pears can taste as good as apples! It was certainly lovely to see everyone taking part in the Trips & Falls event on Sunday afternoon, and that both professionals running the stands for that event had turned up (even though it was Sunday) and that people came along as well and hopefully picked up some valuable information and support. Well done everyone. Here's to next year!

I am so saddend to hear that there will never be another Tipton Carnival Queen. i have been associated with the competion for almost 25 years as my four daughters have have been regular contestants .
Even though none of them was lucky enough to take the title the taking part taught them so much and they have made so many friends. It is such a great loss to the Carnival itself and its all down to the few people who didnt like the winners , these few people have spoilt it for the rest of us who have always had such an enjoyable evening year after year.
